This product is developed based on a technology encapsulating hydrophilic additives within a hydrophobic shell. It is a siloxane-based powder product obtained by spray-drying silicones coated with water-soluble protective colloids and anti-caking agents. This method accelerates the wetting process of hydrophobic agent powders (even faster than conventional redispersible latex powders).
By ingeniously combining two reverse-phase polymers in this manner, we can efficiently achieve uniform mixing of hydrophobic mortars in shorter time periods. This technology enables customers to formulate dry-mix mortar products with superior hydrophobic performance.

HD S82 is a silane powder coated with a colloid and produced by spray drying. It provides excellent hydrophobic and water-repellent properties on the surface and matrix of cement-based building mortars. When the mortar is mixed with water, the active ingredients of HD S82 are released under alkaline conditions, and then it covalently binds to the inorganic mortar matrix, while providing the ability to inhibit efflorescence in the mortar.
